Close up recording of a bee on a flower, i had the mic input level turned up to max to see if it would pick anything up, i couldn't hear it at all, and it sounds pretty good! shame about those inconsiderate people in the background. "hey i'm trying to record a bee over here!" is not really something you can get away with saying to strangers.

Opening the back doors: first the storm door and then the main door. Main door closes followed by the storm door. Back door has a slight squeak. The glass-screen door is moderated by a hydraulic door closer which you can breifly hear hiss before the door slams shut. Recorded on a windows x8 phone and cleaned up in audacity. A large (12 person) elevator located in an apartment building that was built as a hotel for the 1972 olympic games in munich, germany. There are four of these in the building, and they all rattle like nobody's business. In this recording, a part of the elevator arrival chime that plays on the ground floor can be heard in the beginning. Then, i walk into the elevator (two clicks in the recording here) and the doors close. Then it travels up 12 floors and the doors open with a very concerning metal rubbing sound.
Our expresso machine making a latte. You can hear it start up, fill the mug, as well as the milk whipping part of it softly run in the background. There’s probably some background noise to this because i was making breakfast. It can get pretty loud i was recording up close.

Sony dvp-s530d cd/dvd player. A couple of takes of the disc tray being gently pushed closed. The first take includes the sound of the player spinning up a disc. The left channel is a sennheiser mkh-416 and the right channel is an akg c414 b-uls, both into a john hardy m-1 preamp into pro tools. Each mic has a slightly different recording position and overall sound.
